About us

We take on one job: keeping your MTPL cover in order.

kotelezo.biz is the information and quote-request site of Emánuel Dávid Tukacs, independent insurance broker – specialising in compulsory motor third-party liability insurance (MTPL): pre-renewal comparison, competitive tendering, bonus-malus class protection. I work in person in Budapest and Kecskemét if you wish, and online and by phone nationwide.

Rudi's got the ignition key in hand, Pajzsi's winking at the bonus-malus class – because MTPL can be well thought out too.

Who's behind this site?

I'm Emánuel Dávid Tukacs, an independent insurance intermediary (broker). As a broker, I don't represent one insurer – I act on the client's instructions: I request competing MTPL quotes from several insurers for your car, and hand them over in one clear, shared table – premium, add-ons, strengths and weaknesses together. I assess the need and explain the options – the decision is always the client's.

My activity is supervised by the National Bank of Hungary (MNB): my registration number is 114063010758, which anyone can check in the MNB's institution register. I carry out the intermediation as a partner of Eurorisk Biztosítási Alkusz Kft. My main site: tukacs.com.

Why MTPL, specifically?

Because MTPL is the insurance everyone has – and the one fewest people pay attention to. Yet the market is repriced every year, the bonus-malus system carries every decision forward for years, and small administrative slips – a missed cancellation deadline, an unpaid premium – turn out to be disproportionately costly. My job is to put this in order: pre-renewal comparison, a fresh comparison if you get in touch before renewal, bonus-malus class protection and a process free of lapse-for-non-payment traps. As the homepage's “Bonus ladder” mini-game also shows: the road up to B10 takes persistence – and protecting it takes routine. The details are in the Insights, in 95 plain-language articles.

Three principles I stick to

What I am NOT – an important distinction

What does this cost you?

I don't charge the client a fee for advice or comparison – the intermediary's fee is paid by the insurer. That's how the market normally works, and I talk about it openly, because trust rests on it: you know exactly what your broker lives on, and that the right to decide always stays with you.

Strong backing: Eurorisk

I carry out the intermediary work as a partner of Eurorisk Biztosítási Alkusz Kft. Eurorisk has operated since 1993 as an MNB-licensed brokerage – its backing means kotelezo.biz stands on mature professional and legal infrastructure, while you keep working with the same person throughout.

The rest of the family

Not every risk of driving is an MTPL question – and not all of them belong here. Damage to your own car is the domain of casco.biz, company vehicle fleets belong to flotta.biz, the costs of traffic-related legal disputes belong to jogvedelem.biz, cover for personal injury belongs to baleset.biz, and the insurance portfolio for businesses lives on the vallalkozas.biz hub – here, everything is about MTPL.

The next step is simple: run the numbers in minutes with the online calculator, or let's talk it through in 20 minutes, free of charge. Book a time here →

With an independent broker, insurers compete for you – not the other way round. My advice is free of charge.
